title towards the left hand side so it is above the contents. I decided to choose a large, bold red font as I felt this stood out and the bold-ness of it shows that it is one of the main vocal points.
The lines around the text boxes: I felt this gave the contents page a more quirky, interesting look. As my contents page was quite plain, I decided to try a few things out. I firstly tried to put the texts in colourful boxes, but as I wanted to keep the contents more low key, I decided to try using the colours more subtley.
The pictures of students: I decided to add an outer glow, like the pictures in my front cover so it gave a 3-D effect. I decided to keep the images simple- looking. I decided to have them down the right hand side of the contents page.
The red, purple and black font: I decided to incorperate all of the colours together, so it looked more tidy. The red font is the same colour as the 'zimbo' title and text box and the purple font is the same as the text box.
The bright white background: I feel this adds a more 'fresh' look to my contents page. I think this is a good look for a magazine, as this draws tghe readers attention to the main focal point of the contents which is the contents and also the pictures.
Overall, I am pleased with my contents page. I think the white background and simplicity of the contents works well, as the reader will be able to concentrate more on the contents and pictures. I also like the use of lines and pictures as this creates a more quirky look to the page. I like how i have incorperated the colours throughout. I think my contents page is successful but if I was to do it again I would have made the page ore interesting. For example, eventhough i wanted to go for the more plain, understated look, I feel as if I should have put some sort of quirky design/ picture at the bottom, as it was a bit plain.
